Meet The Owner

Hi, I am Marie, the owner & creative behind Ivy Lynne Home in Cloverdale British Columbia, Canada.
 
I have always found joy in giving gifts that are thoughtful and unique.  Shopping at boutiques and local specialty stores for one of a kind gifts then presenting them beautifully wrapped has always been my specialty.
 
After 15 years of building a career in Enforcement, I wasn't happy.  Then tragedy hit my family when my husband was diagnosed with two primary cancers. As I watched the love of my life battle surgeries and chemotherapy, my perspective on life changed.  I understood very quickly that life is too short to stay at a career I wasn't enjoying despite the great money, pension and friendly coworkers.  I decided I was going to pursue a career that sparked happiness so when my husband was given the cancer free stamp I started on my quest.
 
Interior Design blossomed for me in my late 30's to 40's. I slowly started to transform one room at a time in my home through DIY's and collecting beautiful items.  Over time, I built a modest following on Instagram and I couldn't believe it when brands started to reach out wanting to collaborate.  When friends started asking for design advice I knew I had found my passion as I truly enjoyed giving my perspective.
 
By merging my love for gift giving and my passion for interior design Ivy Lynne Home was born.   My store is named after family.  Ivy was my late grandmothers middle name, Lynne is my mom's middle name, my middle name and two of my cousins middle names.  Ivy Lynne Home is e-commerce with the hopes to move to a brick and mortar one day.  I run this little shop from my basement in Cloverdale BC!
